The proof of the pudding is in the eating and the proof of a wedding band is in the full dance floor throughout the night. The Dynamics take pride in providing a wide range of repertoire that will entertain your guests and get them out to dance and mix together. We don't fit the usual band stereotype, we are all professionally trained in everything from classical music, Irish Trad, jazz, ballroom dancing, blues and of course pop - but we like nothing better for the last hour of a wedding than to rock out - lifting an entire room and sending a new couple off on a high. We don't use a fixed set-list, we know many hundreds of songs and tunes and adapt our programme to the response of the guests and the special requests of the couple.

 

Our longevity in showbusiness is down to sheer enthusiasm, we like what we do and we enjoy playing together. We're no longer young, dark-haired and slim! but the energy, rhythm and all-round musical polish we offer has satisfied many generations of happy couples, their families and guests.

 

We value our hearing very highly. This means we refuse to play at the ridiculously high volume used by some bands and discos. Our equipment is state-of-the-art so our sound quality meets the highest standards. We use a full lighting rig and have a dedicated stage crew that ensures our set-up happens as swiftly and professionally as possible.

 

The band at a wedding has a pivotal function at what is an important chapter of a very special day. We create a relaxed party atmosphere where all the different generations and family groups can mix, dancing, chatting or just listening. We can stage all of the traditional formalities if required: first dance, throwing the bouquet, going-away etc. we consult with each couple and prepare according to their personal preferences. If required we can also accompany family or guest performers - singers, dancers, instrumentalists etc.

 

It is usual nowadays to have a DJ follow the band and take the crowd into the early hours in an informal manner. If you wish we can engage a DJ to perform for you immediately after our set, we have a number of them on call on whose work we are happy to stand over. If you are having music for your Drinks Reception consider us as well. We can play a completely different programme of popular instrumental Jazz and easy listening repertoire - the perfect background for the sparkling conversation as your guests start to mingle and get in the party mood.
